Our next door neighbor, and us , are the only Asians in the neighborhood. Our Vietnamese neighbors are elderly couple. Their car is in their garage, ours is on the driveway.
We have 2 suspects….. maybe some person who blames us Asians for the pandemic.
Another is my ex-boyfriend. He did this before when I broke up with him about 2 years ago. I suspect he went to my Facebook ……. and saw something that enraged him again.
I wrote several posts about this… I’ve NEVER talked about my lovelife and relationships until it happened. Cops in the neighborhood, our neighbors confronting him, and restraining order.
We even had to install a CCTV at our house….. unfortunately, it was off this time…. We thought it was safe now.
Sigh. Here we go again.

Oh, no, no. I’m not that worried. It was worse when I broke up with him so much so that our neighbors were the ones who confronted him when they saw him ( and his friend) lurking around . The day before that, we called the cops, and 4 cop cars arrived. ( second time ) Everything that happened was all in my posts .
This happened to my sister, too ! ! For months, her co-workers had to escort her out to the parking lot. Once she called the cops….and they told her they couldn’t do anything to the guy because it wasn’t illegal to “STARE” at her ! ! ! ( She was part-timing at WalMart , and that guy would just stand there where she was at, and STARE ! ! Her co-workers would just tell the guy to leave the premises ) Ugh. Some people couldn’t accept rejection. There was a case where an ex shot a bride dead at her house when she stepped out of her house to go to the church. The incident was in the video. That’s the kind of person that women should be afraid of.

Anger and lovelife are closely tied…

Any of your neighbors on the block have a door cam? One of them may have picked up something. Also check police reports to see if other vehicles in the area or nearby blocks were affected. On the bright side, it’s just property, which is easy to replace compared to someone being hurt.

There’s one, not directly across from ours, ( about 1 house away , also it only shows the road in front of their house,… the other neighbors don’t have a cam… we already asked.

I highly doubt we’ll ever find out. We can just speculate. It wasn’t just an ordinary vandalism. I felt the rage when I saw the damage. Parts of the interior was damaged too. I don’t know how the insurance will fix this.

Thanks ! Our house is now all lit up the whole night. We;re being careful now. The cops wouldn’t be able to solve this, no witnesses and all that stuff. It’s now really up to us to take care of ourselves.

One can never know, but based on my own experience, something like that is so fueled by a personal anger that I would agree that it’s likely someone that is angry specially at you rather than at Asians in general. Destructive and risky.
I hope that y’all can recover quickly from this, both the shock of it and the stress of repairing the damages. I’ll be in prayer for you.

We’ve been living in this neighbirhood for over 20 years. Neighbors always see my mother outside watering the plants, cleaning the frontyard ,etc. It’s a very quiet neighborhood, The damage was done by someone who was vey, very angry. And this happened after I updated my Facebook .

Thanks, TWWK. It was dejavu . i don’t want to accuse a specific person, but I felt the damage was done by someone who was enraged and had personal grudge againts me. I don’t think it was done by a regular garden variety racist.
