Don’t be surprised…. RenxKyoko Uncensored

WordPress  had notified me of a spike in my viewership 2 or 3 times these past 2 months…. and the source of the spike are my “uncensored and unfiltered ” posts that question my  belief in the policy platform of the Democratic Party and my rants againts  the government of China, which I’m sure many of my ” progressive” readers find  discomfiting.  The enemy of my enemy is my friend, that’s the problem,  never mind that the ”  friend ”  has been violating freedom of the press and speech,  human rights,  brazen expansionism , ethnic  and cultural cleansing  in Tibet, Mongolia and the Uyghurs   minority  in China,   and destruction of  environment and wildlife. ( Not to mention organ harvesting going on in China )  Check out ,on my post,  BBC’s report on 267 Chinese fishing vessels in Galapagos Island.   They  cannot even spare that piece of  the vast ocean from their insatiable lust  for money.   Chinese vessels have also been vacuuming marine life in West Philippine Sea, and have been seen on Tabuttaha Reef in the Philippines, one of the most protected sites in the world.  There are almost no fish in the Indian Ocean,  and even North Korea  had shot  dead 3 Chinese  fishermen that were seen  vacuuming North Korea’s  marine territories . No more squid for you Kim Jong Un.  China has gone so low that even their most protected ally and friend, North Korea ,  is taking shots at them.   The worst. 

So, I’m asking the Democratic Party…. just because , at the moment, the Republican Party sees itself as the party that ” bravely ” fights   the  untouchable, will you now act as protector of  this country , and  welcome this country, once again, with open arms, and ignore the unbridled  theft of anything this country can get hold of, just because   the enemy of my enemy is my ally and friend? 

Now about the title of this post.  

Don’t be surprised at what I’m about to  tell you. 

I’ve just given my 3rd donation to the Biden Campaign, and my parents have just received their PIONEER Ticket /sticker from the Biden Campaign, as well. I don’t need  to tell you what getting  a PIONEER ticket entails.  Suffice it to say,  legal  “individual contribution ” is at maximum.  

So,don’t come here and comment what a bad person I am , throwing my  principles out the window.  I   just want you to know that I truly believe   the fate of this planet now depends on who  the next President of the United States of America is.  It’s important what a President Biden  means to America and to the free world.

The United States of America is a nation divided……. divided between those whose minds and hearts reflect the beliefs and values (  if any) of the current president, and those who do not .

 

Lower House  is now under Democratic Party control . Thank goodness for small mercies.

 

Pero,  baka   mas  grabe  pa si  tRump  ngayon. Segurado ako mag- jurumentado  na  yan .   Ahhh,  buti na lang talo si Kim Davis, ( Booo !! ) yung tarantado at hipocrita  na nag -refuse magbigay ng marriage license sa gay couple.  Pero,  s’ya  mismo  4  beses na kasal .  Ay,  Dios  mio,  ang kapal  ! ! ! Sige,  punta ka na sa  kueba mo,  gaga , bobo, bruha  !  Tapos, yung  taga- Florida,  nag- boto ng sobra na racist.   Eh, kahit gusto n’yo  para ng California, ( may Hollywood Blvd. pa ?? Hu, hu,hu.  Pati Georgia, malas . Tsk !  Akala ko, medyo Okay na.  Wala rin. Sobra na Red.      Congrats sa Wisconsin.  Na- boot out n’yo si Scott Walker. ! Yey !

It’s nice to know another  language ( Philippine language ).  I can write,  unfiltered, every now and then.  I’m not being rude, though…. just trying to spare your  sensitive, refined feelings.  Ignorance is bliss, ‘di ba ???  He he…… I wonder if any non-Filipino can get the gist of  what I just wrote above. Hmm….  Let me know in the comment section.

How’s it goin’ , guys ?  [  …….. ]  After my  juicy, nasty , political post , it’s back to regular programming. Ugh !

 

So, what have I been doing these past few days ? Well, I just bought 2 books  , Fear by Woodward, and Unhinged by Omarosa.  ( will start reading  soon ……. this is going to be juicy.  ) I want to know what crap  His Excellency and his minions are doing at the White House..  Next, I’ll buy that one by Woolfe and Hillary Clinton’s . Then, this past weekend, we travelled to San Francisco to have fun at THE DUNGEON.  (  Google it if you don’t know what that is )  . No pics and videos are allowed  inside The Dungeon. ( except the promo pics shown below )

I thought I’d have a lot of unFollows  after my recent political rant.  Instead, 3, 351 ——-> 3,364  !  13 more followers ! Thanks !

 

However, I did get a comment that I thought was a bit offensive.  The commenter criticized , get this, not the content , but the way I write, ( it sucks ) spelling ( I need a Spellcheck , she says ) and, I struggle with punctuations. ……. Lady, I have 2 college  degrees, Cellular / Molecular Biology, Minor in Chemistry and Forensics Science ( actually, Forensics Biology ) . I’d rather be a good scientist than a writer who’s good at punctuations.  Okay, thanks.

HOME DISTURBANCE ! !

I posted about this HERE.

 

It happened again last night…. actually this morning around 12 AM to 2 AM.

 

To summarize what happened in July, 2017….. I broke up  with my boyfriend, then he demanded that I return ” his ” dog , or else, he’d sue me…..and he came over at 3 AM but he didn’t create a disturbance when we didn’t open the door.

 

But today, it was different.  So, okay, he said he wouldn’t get ” his ” dog back anymore. But then, 4 months ago, he started texting and calling me about us getting back together….. I’ve been saying NO very politely  but he didn’t stop…………… but last night on my  drive home, he called again. I was driving , and very tired,  darn it,  so I yelled on the phone   STOP CALLING ME AND GO AWAY ! !  I mean,  his texts and calls have already become a form of stalking and harassment !  When I got home, ( about 10 PM ) he texted  and threatened he’d come over to get ” his ” dog back . So, we turned off all the lights , then , around 12 , the doorbell started ringing  without let-up, and at the same time, texting  me ( I received 25 texts ) , and said he had called the police. ( I actually got a voicemail from the police ) . We also heard him  say , in a rather loud voice , ” I know you’re in there, Ren. Don’t make it hard on you and your family.  I JUST WANT MY DOG BACK ! ”

 

Meanwhile, we forgot  my cousin would come home at 1 AM ( from her part time job delivering Domino’s Pizza,  ^__^ ” ) . Then we heard her enter the house, heard voices,   and we were like, OMG, did she let him in ???? She was like, ” are you kidding ? ”   She then called her BF, and on the phone, she said , ” There’s a 6 ft. tall angry dude at our doorstep,  can you come over, please and   don’t come in, just park the car outside and stay in the car, call me,  and let us know what he’s doing. ”  Believe it or not, it was already 2: 15 AM when he finally left. The BF came , parked, and kept the headlights on…… just to let the ex know there’s a witness, just in case.

 

Where was Dad while this was happening ?  Dad is a heavy sleeper… so yeah, he was happily snoring in La la land, thank goodness.   Otherwise, there’d be a huge commotion between him and this guy.  Yikes.

 

Guys, a question…… should I be worried ?  I don’t think he owns a gun.

It’s backkkk ! !

I know, I know. I’m whining .  In my previous post, I did say ,” problem solved … WordPress , take care of me. ”  Well, folks, it’s back.

 

The only solution now is to get a new email address . WordPress’s Reader is very unreliable.  Sometimes I see new posts, ( just 2x these past 2 weeks ), sometimes I don’t.

 

My old email  server doesn’t or can’t accept new posts from blogs that I follow on WordPress.  I still get email notications of LIKES and FOLLOWS, though.

I’ve actually never used Reader to read new posts from bloggers.  It’s so cluttered.  But I had to, after this email debacle.  And then this happened, and have been happening for 2 weeks now.

I thought renewing my Premium would solve the problem.  I was a happy camper for a few hours, then it came back.  No Reader. ( the photo above was taken an hour ago )

 

I solved it temporarily by clicking on the avatars of the bloggers who LIKED my posts.  However, some of the bloggers’ avatars do not have links to their websites, like @Gardencity’s .  ( I like to read posts on gardening )

 

So, yeah, this is what I’m dealing now.

 

I’m going to sign up with gmail, as per the majority’s recommendation.

Breaking my silence, but not enough

Hello, there !  Renxkyoko Iglesias here.

 

I haven’t done any blog reading ….. well, maybe 10 blogs a day this week, and these last 2 days, none at all……, and Cassie, MBBBF,  can attest to this. I haven’t been feeling well these last few days that even my boss had to let me go home  ( bad timing,  there was no one to take my shift so my boss had to do my work ) .  My cough sounded terrible , , my eyes were watery, my joints hurt, and though I had a slight fever, my hands and feet were icy cold. Weird.   Last Wednesday, I was called for a jury duty. I went despite being sick, and hoped the judge wouldn’t select me. I  usually don’t get selected because of my father’s job.  He works with law enforcement, and no, he’s not a cop nor a warden, ^_^”.  We get asked about this stuff,  so, I was sure  the defendant’s attorneys would eliminate me, assuming wrongly  there was  going to be some bias against his client.  Sure enough, I was sent home, thank goodness.  This is not always the case though , because my sister was selected  to be a juror despite the personal info.  Why was she selected ?  Well,  99 % of the people who were asked by the judge  gave the wrong answer. My sister was the only one who got it right. Okay, so the judge asked each potential juror  whether the defendant present in this court  was guilty or not.  Everyone answered they didn’t know……. my sister was the only who said the defendant was innocent.  And folks, that’s how it should be… innocent until proven guilty .

 

Another thing……. US Attorney General  Jeff Sessions just scrapped  the commission established by the Department of Justice and  the National Institute of Science and Technology  to engage independent forensic experts to improve the reliability and authenticity of forensic evidences .  Sessions scrapped this… these “meddling  scientists “, he said.  He said he would instead just get an in-house adviser.  Folks, I have a college degree in Forensics Biology, specializing in DNA Analysis,  and even if I know that Forensics analysis  is the most reliable evidence by far,  this cannot be attained with garbage evidence .  ( contaminated , etc. ) We have to be sure that the person we are sending to the gallows is  truly guilty.  Now, don’t ask me if I’m pro- death penalty  or anti.

 

I haven’t made any political statements for quite a while.  I ‘m so overwhelmed by the almost daily  screw-ups coming from the White House….. oh,  pardon me, from Mar-a Lago…. that I ‘ve decided to zone everything out.  I mean, that guy spent 25 days of his first 100 days golfing on his   resorts and visiting his other properties. Meanwhile , taxpayers spend  $ 3 M each time he stays at Mar-aLago, not to mention the $$$$$$  the government spends to maintain his New York’s Trump Tower, because Melania lives there.  Add the $$$$$ we spend every time his sons go abroad on private business. (  Hey, first family is protected everywhere they go, right ? )

 

Of course, these are just small , shallow corruption issues.  What I should be more concerned about is the abolishment of  the Environmental  Protection Agency ( EPA ) , Department of  Education, the repeal/rejection of Affordable Health Care Act ,  defunding of all agencies that take care of the needs of  the people…. ( Meals on Wheels, PBS subsidies,  Sesame Street, the arts ).Meanwhile , that man  is so ready and eager to make tax cuts for the rich.

My Random Thoughts, One More Time

So, okay, this post is about my vacation in the Philippines.  But, first, I’d like to write down a few things  swirling on my mind at the moment, and let’s see where this post  goes..

Firstly, the Republican Party’s scorch earth policy has been  pissing me off  from the time  this party invited Israel’s Natenyahu to speak before the US Congress without informing the White House. This was a total breach of protocol and disrespect for the US  Executive office.  But , what do we expect from these  people ?  They don’t even believe  Pres. Obama is an American. Then more than a week ago, 47 US Republican Senators sent a letter to the Ayallatolahs in Iran, telling them  the talks and on-going negotiations  between Iran and the US  ( and  5  others…. Russia, China, Great Britain,  Germany and France) are useless pieces of  documents, thereby scuttlling and undermining the integrity  of the US  negotiators..  Under Logan’s Law, that is treason.   They will burn the whole  country down to spite the Black man currently residing at the White House. It’s mind- blowing.

And, Netanyahu has won the election in Israel, and has  proclaimed to the world a state of Palestine  would  not happen under his watch.  Well, good luck on  that, Sir.

Believe it or not, there’s Jewish blood flowing in my veins.  My great, great, great , great  grandparents were Spanish Jews, and though they later converted to Catholicism, this little info had been passed on from one generation to another, finally to my mother and her siblings, then to us.  ( lest we forget).  Another thing, my brother-in-law, my sister’s husband, is a Jew.  That’s the magical  asterisk  in my family’s already colorful history.

How colorful ?  Well,   a  great grandfather  was a rebel  who was  arrested and incarcerated in a dungeon at Fort Santiago, and later, his house was turned into a museum to honor him…… another  greatgrandad, a rebel, managed to escape to HongKong  before the American  colonists  came to arrest him, and no, he wasn’t a homeless  19 year old bum all the time he was on exile……. he was a student boarder at St. Joseph’s College and studied there for 4 years.  It still  exists, and surprisingly, it is considered the most elite boys school ,most revered  and best school  in  HongKong to this day.  ( According to Wiki )  How his father sent out the money  to HongKong was pretty interesting, but the American authorities  knew about it apparently. They, in fact, had arranged for him to return to the Philippines, and appointed  him Governor  of the province ( won’t mention the name of the province) for many, many years . It seems I’m bragging. Well, I guess  I am. They fought for independence, after all.  The other greatgranddad’s story was better , though. What happened to him was  in their history books.  That’s something to brag about. The other one? I don’t know.  Maybe he had fun in Hongkong. Still…. it was kind of  sad to be away from family for 4 years. I’ m  not diminishing what he had done for the cause. He was just lucky to have a family with the means to keep him out of the dungeons.   Oh, but he had a town named after him. :0  It went well for him, too..

So, okay, where was I ?

Going back to the question, am I anti- Israel ?  No freaking way. But, we do seek pathways to peace , whatever they are, wherever they maybe.  I believe , and the whole world, for that matter, believe  that statehood for Palestine , is one pathway.

And what do I think of these terrorists ?  It cannot be published. omgcursezasfdgytmdie !

The problem here is,  who am I to rant , proselytize, be holier than thou ?  The US is not  lily white , either. Racism  is  alive and kicking.  ”  Wrong ” skin color can get one killed.

I guess this post went nowhere…. as expected of  yours truly.  ^_^ ”   Fun vacation, my foot.  My thoughts just took off and went all over the place, except the place where they were supposed to go.

Is All……. o_O”

Hello !  Renxkyoko Iglesias here.

This is my second post this month. I wish I could post more but.. oh well.

My father’s in the Philippines.  He left last week. It wasn’t a sudden trip, though. He had been planning this for months, but we were nevertheless  surprised  to see him packing Thursday night, and we were like, When are you leaving? … Tomorrow.  What ! ! ”  My sister goes to San Francisco twice a month to be with her boyfriend . (  He now works in Frisco ). She is supposed to go there this coming Saturday, and take Dad to the airport, but her BF called to tell her he bought tickets to a Friday night  game, (  baseball or football, I don;t know), so Dad just decided  to leave one week earlier. San Francisco is  a 2 hour drive from our house, and he doesn’t want Mom to go on long drives anymore.

So, anyway, I wrote  about a  beach  house we’re constructing in Boracay Island, Philippines, didn’t I ?  The plan was originally a duplex, one unit  for the family, and the other one for rent to tourists. Then it was changed to a 2 floor house , 6 bedrooms, 3 toilets/baths…. then 3 weeks ago, we learned that my aunt changed it again to 2 1/2 floors, 7 bedrooms, 5 t/b with a rooftop garden. What the heck ! !  Well, it is my aunt’s and my parents’ joint venture, but this is getting out of control.  My aunt assured us  all additional expenses would be on her.  Oh–kay …… still……..

Anyway, that’s the reason why dad ‘s in the Philippines now…… to check out what the heck’s going on with  with on – going construction….. and to ask the architect about the changes, although we learned it was due to the site’s topography. It’s hilly, so the architect changed the plan based on the layout of the land.  The architect assured  us the view would be spectacular…. though our property is not beachfront… it’s  a mere  5 to 10 minute walk to the beach, so that view from the hillside will be spectacular, indeed.

So, to my readers from the Philippines,  watch out for my ” promotional plugging”, ha ha.  Our  problem now is , this is not a simple vacation house anymore that we’ll  be renting out when not in use by the owner.  We’re figuring out how to run this……… now how do we classify this ? An inn?    Also, to my non- Filipino readers who want to go on tropical vacation, we’ll advertise this on VRBO.com * Vacation Rental By Owner ” . Hopefully, we’ll be ready by February , 2014.

Oh, by the way, I bought a published book by a fellow WordPress blogger.  Uhm, Mr. Conley ? I haven’t read it, but I promise to read it soon, and hopefully, write a review.

Hey, I’m not going to be political on this post, even though my mouth is itching to say something.  One thing though…. the total non-empathy and  non- compassion of the Teabagger Republicans  for the needy   are stunning.  And to think their base constituents from Red states *  (Democrats’ are BLue states *  )are poorer than Blue states’.  ALL … I repeat, ALL,  Red states, except Texas , get more federal welfare than they give to the government. The rich Blue States, like New York, California, Massachusetts, Washington, Oregon, New Jersey, Maryland,  etc. heavily   subsidize these Red States.  Oh, the irony ! ! !  Hey,  teabaggers !. See that poor,  homeless- hippy  looking  beggar  listening in to your tirades againts those lazy poor and the sick – if – you- can ‘t afford it- just die folks  ? He  could be Jesus -come- down – to- earth. And His eyes are glazing over as He listens to people like you. The shamelessness and meanness are breathtaking.

So, I went political.  Again.  Couldn’t help it. * walks off, mumbling. *

Hello, Renxkyoko Iglesias here, musing, pondering, thinking, reflecting, ranting.

My last post was 3 weeks ago. I know I should post more often but I’ve been really, really busy. Tuesday this week, a relative from Seattle, Washington, came over . The last time he saw me was when I was 6 months old. In other words, that was the first time we met.  He’s gay , and he came here to California to get married to his long time partner  in San Francisco. ( They’ve been together 13 years )  His partner’s parents are coming over too to attend the civil ceremony.  Last year, Cee, our relative, and his partner’s parents went to France for vacation, so yeah, there’s really no family problem with their relationship.  Anyways , Cee  stayed with us for 2 days, his partner flew over from Seattle on Thursday,  we  picked him up at the airport,  had lunch somewhere, then they left for San Francisco. We wished he had told us beforehand, though. We could have attended their wedding.

Guys, I wrote before that I didn’t like the US to intervene  in Syria. I feel that we don’t belong there, we’ll never belong there, ever, but  I’m starting to change my mind. At this very moment, I’m listening to Sec. of State John Kerry.   I believe everything that he’s  saying in his speech..  Sec. Kerry is an anti-war Vietnam  hero. He’s not trigger-happy.  He’s not some lying  Neo-Con chicken warriors of former Pres. Bush. He’s not then Sec. of State Condoleeza Rice who scared  Americans with mushroom cloud cr*p  and  lied about  the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.  John Kerry ‘s speech is very compelling.   So, if he says Assad did it , I believe him.   I’ve been watching what’s been going on in Syria, watching rows and rows of dead bodies, mass – killed by chemical and biological weapons. That’s enough for me.

That said, I hope other nations will help too. It’s not enough that the Arab League just condemns it.  It’s unfortunate that England had chosen to say No. I don’t blame them, though. Without the image of these children dropping off  like dead insects,  I wouldn’t go there,  either. I will just close my eyes, change channel, and pretend nothing like that is happening in that part of the world. To me, they should solve their own problem. We have problems over  here in the US, too. And though we’re slowly coming out of deep recession and  our economy is improving ,  we’re not off the hook yet,  so seriously,  we need Syria like we need  a hole in our heads.

It’s unfortunate too that Pres. Obama had  declared this RED LINE  conundrum..  I know  I’m not political savvy, but when I heard Pres. Obama say that, I groaned and facepalmed.   I thought that was quite a dumb thing to say.  So , now that Assad had actually used chemical weapons on his own people, what is Pres. Obama to do now?  He had painted himself into a corner.  More than half of Americans do not want the US to get involved, the US Congress want  him to get an authorization first,  the UN will never approve this (  why? Russia and China have veto power ) England  is not on the same page as the US, and   though they condemn Assad’s actions, the Arab League do not want the US to get involved, either. That’s a good thing, though.  This could very well be Obama’s escape route, his saving grace, so to speak.

It is sad that  Syrians killing each other have become mere fodder for news headlines. No country wants to help.  Only France  and Turkey are willing to join the US.  As the English PM put it, ” the well had been poisoned “, and  no one will dare drink from it. The  US’s interventions in   Iraq and Afghanistan were started from lies, so that the US now has been likened to the boy who cried wolf.  Americans themselves are unwilling  and  wary and  not sure of the outcome.   Besides,  as Chris  Matthews of Hardball  said it, ” in some countries,  Liberation from tyrrany means never having to say Thank You.”

Also, we need to know,   who exactly is the US helping?  The Syrian rebels ? Which one ? Free Syrian Army?  There are so many.   The US helped the Libyan rebels, and yet,  Benghazi happened. Iraq is now lovey dovey with the country the US considers an enemy.  When the US leaves Afghanistan, there’s no doubt  the Taliban will make a comeback. It’s back to square one, maybe even worse than before.

One more thing, I hope Pres. Obama will intervene not because he doesn’t want to renege on his declaration on Red Line, but because it is the right thing to do….. What will happen if he reneges on this promise? Lose his credibility ? Pres. Obama should not worry about losing credibility. The US has lost that a long time ago, anyway.  As long as we know who we are, what we are , and what we are capable of, who cares what other countries think of us?  Google us, facebook us, youtube us, twitter us, they’re all US.  Hollywood will make stupid movies, and  people all over the world will still watch them.

Alright, here’s the thing. I’m sure Ms. Pollyanna ‘s  going to lose so many subscribers again with this post. And I’m as sure as the sun is up there, Obama’s gonna do it. God bless America.

Versatile Blogger Award Part 2, Thank you ! !

Hi ! !

Great ! I managed to publish 3 posts this month.  ( Good job, Ren. * pats head  * ) . Well, school’s here again.  I have to work harder this semester. But then, that’s what I always promise myself  every beginning of semester. I guess my best efforts have plateaud.  Seriously, though, how else can I work harder than last year’s?   Like, don’t sleep anymore?  Four times a week I work up to 10 PM,  study up to the wee hours of the morning, ( friends/ bloggers  who see me online are not surprised  when they see me  at 3 AM, right , Rob?   We do our homeworks online, and we have to pay the website  to do them, can you believe that ?  We also take tests online, sometimes. I find that really weird. ) So, anyhow,  I do household chores, don’t date, don’t hang out….. ….. Ha ! I’m a freakin’ Mary Sue,  !. . So, what am I yapping about? I don’t know. I’m just frustrated. I tried  getting into a course that I desperately need the whole day today. There are 54 of us  waitlisted.  Do you know what happens if I don’t get this course ?  Alright, in a fantasy world, I should be graduating this semester, but in real world, if I don’t get this one?  I graduate next year, or the year next, or the year next, next, darn it.  Am I the only one with this school problem? Tell me, please ?  Misery l0ves company. Okay, I’m done ranting.

I’ve already posted 7 things about me here . Well, I  wrote there that I was a fan of Michael Jackson, and still am.  I bought 2 cds of him to play in my car, ( Off the Wall  and Bad ) and you know what , there’s a song in Bad that I really like, and I keep playing that, over and over again, just that one.  It’s the Spanish version of  I  Just Can’t Stop Loving You…… Todo Mi Amor Eres Tu.

Oh, and here’s MJ and me.

Kidding aside,  he was just a look – like.  Rest in peace, MJ. 

Anyways, I’m adding a few more ” about me “, if I may…….

1. I’m 80 % social liberal, believe it or not. I’m for gay marriage, partly pro-choice ( this is where  10 % of my conservatism comes in ) approves legalization of marijuana for medicinal purpose, a tree hugger, pro-gun control….. However , I don’t want to be called a  bleeding heart liberal .  Twenty percent of me calls for social responsibility and plain common sense values.

2.  My favorite colors are aquamarine and red.

3. I put choco syrup or Nesquick choco in my coffee. Both sugar-free.

4. I   dream of playing the violin in a full orchestra. But I  think I’m not good enough.

5. I find political shows more interesting and entertaining than regular Tv shows . I actually watched all the Republican debates. Ahahaha ! They’re killing each other.  What a bunch of …. never mind.  Alright, those on the other side of the political fence, don’t hate me. But one of  the  guys, Newt Gingrich, promises to establish an American colony  on the moon by 2020, and  with about 16,000 Americans up there, the colony can become a US state. He says this is going to happen if he becomes the President. ( He said this 2 days ago in Florida ) * Earth to Mr. Gringrich, hello, how would you like to solve some  problems here on our planet  first, like , poverty?  Or add more classes and teachers  *.  And all of them, most particularly Rick Santorum, want to ban The Pill, and condoms   * crickets *  Really ? What the heck .  .   Sorry. I hate to be political but I couldn’t resist.  I’m supposed to be writing ” about me”. lol

6.  If I could afford to buy a car, I’d buy a BMW.

7.  I want to have an online business, mostly for ladies’ accessories. I think I have a flair for fashion and stuff like that.

I’m allowed to nominate 7 more bloggers, but I think I’m stopping on the 8th and continue on  my next post.  Actually, I started writing on Jan.23. It’;s now the 28th and I’m not done yet.  There are just so many distractions. For instance, at this very moment, I’m watching , again, the Republican debate in Florida. I have to stop what I’m doing to  listen to them, more attentively,  this time. ………. Aaaargh ! ! I don’t know if I’m going to cry or laugh at the ludicrousness of their issues.  For instance……. Rick Santorum is accusing Mitt Romney of flipflopping regarding the health care issue. As Governor of Massachusets, Mitt Romney patterned his healthcare policy after Pres. Obama’s health care … and it was successful. 98% of the people in his state now have health insurance. Rick Santorum’s mouth is frothing over this fact. Do you know what he said ? ” It’s the Republican’s policy to change /repel/ take out so called Obamacare , so how can you, Gov. Romney , defeat Obama when you have actually used his Obamacare ?  It’s unacceptable  ! “, or something along this line.  What Santorum had failed to mention was that, Obamacare was successful  in Massachusets and THAT  was anathema to the Republican’s agenda of  taking Obama down at all cost, and if the country would  go  down with him, so be it. Party first, before country. Friggin’ idiots.   When Detroit automakers were about to go bankrupt, and Pres. Obama wanted to bail them out to save the icons of  US industry, the Republicans yelled in unison, ” Let Detroit Go Bankrupt. ! ! ”  Pres. Obama bailed them out , just the same, and now, the motor industry  and  thousands of jobs  have been saved,  and  guess what, GM now is the biggest – earning auto manufacturing company in the world.  Isn’t that the height of  irony?  Democrats aiding ailing corporations,  and corporate-loving Republicans wanting the opposite . Do you know why? I know why …. the Republicans want these icons  of America to go down under Obama’s watch, and  who cares what happens. Their objective is to make Obama a one – term President.  The rest of  those who would be affected  by their agenda  are  mere collateral damage.

 Eh. I better stop here before I offend anyone. 

Ah, here’s something that I found  from my archives. It was a word for word online chat with a friend from England ( not Rob ) that made me laugh for days… nay, weeks. I know you wouldn’t find it funny, and I don;t even  know why I did.  Maybe I have a weird sense of humour.

AOI SPICE and all things nice, and not so nice….

* Come  Ren, …… say hi *

I made it to  3 posts this October.  Yay ! I wasn’t really that busy this  past week, though I did pull at least 3 all nighters   for  Chem . and Physics.  Problem is,  I really  don’t have anything to talk about !……… Unless you want to read a blow by blow account of  what I did at work and at school. ?  No?  Right. I don’t think so.  * sigh * Anyways, I did go to a head banger concert last Friday with my sweet 13 year old cuz.  Gosh, I thought, is this the extent of my social life? Chaperoning  an 8th grader ?

Not only that, we had to pick up a  6 footer first year high school boy and I was like, ” You have a date? A high school boy ?  ” Oh, no, no , Tita, he’s just a friend who’s got  a ticket to the concert too, but he needs a ride. ”  ” Whatever. How come you’re  friends with a HS kid. ?” ” We’ve been friends since last year yet. He went to [ insert name of middle school ], too .”   Hmmmm……….*ponders* …….   So, as expected, the concert was rowdy and loud, and fun. Yup, I enjoyed it. The concert started at 6 PM and ended at 11 PM . It took that long coz there were 6 bands that played. Oh, and also, one band singer got one  water bottle  , took a sip,  returned the cap, and threw it at the crowd. My cuz caught it, and I thought she’d keep it as a souvenir, but no, she drank from it , too and passed it on to the HS kid, who drank from it and passed it on and so on….. and I was like,  freakin’ hell !  ! What if  that singer had an infectious disease or something !  Yikes!

  Actually, I was supposed to go to a club that night too, with my college pals, but I couldn’t leave  the concert and the kids. My friends texted  me all night. ” Why aren’t you here yet? ” Are you coming over  or not? ” Not.   Well, we got home at 11:30. It was too late to go…. to a club, alone,  past 12 midnight.  So, I decided to just read a manga  . Pathetic.

Speaking of which, I just read a horrible manga, even more horrible than that one where the main character kills herself.  I read the ending first, and I was like, ” Oooooh, they are together “, so I didn’t bother to read the forum. Big mistake.  The “hero” of the story is a first class sadist and the “heroine ” is a masochist.  How bad is he ? Well, he doesn’t like the girl’s hairstyle, so he gets a pair of scissors and forcibly  cuts the girl’s hair. Just like that. Yeah, that bad.  What’s worse is that, while he professes deep love for the girl, he has been  banging  another girl! !  A manwhore !  What the ! ! !#$%^&*#$%^&* ! ! ! Freak !   What kind of a  love story is that ? It ‘s so twisted and perverted !  Geeezuz ! ” Excuse me for a sec , guys,  I think I’m gonna jump off a cliff. ”

So, anyways,

It was already 2 AM when I finished reading. I was so upset by what I just read I almost  hurled my laptop across the room, or myself  againts the wall.  * ( There, there…..( pats head )….  It’s just a story, Ren.  You don’t have to be so emo about it. ” *) I  then decided to read another one  to erase the negative aura that enveloped me.  Never mind the time. I am, after all, the Goddess of Imsomniacs.  So, I rummaged through a list of  titles and found one . A gem  ! ! One of the loveliest, sweetest, fluffiest, cutest romance story I’ve ever read so far.  Just  a story between two people, without the angst and conflicts that usually accompany their journey to everlasting love.   The title is AOI SPICE.  This story proves that any  author can write a moving love story without  the main guy with a GF, or  still pining for his ex GF, ex- Gfs  and rivals bitching and getting in the way of the protagonists’ relationship, girls seducing the main guy and succeeding, main guy cheating, and all these cliches the writers throw our  way to spice up the stories. They’re so gut wrenching. But I guess it can’t be helped. We cannot  have cheese all the time, huh.

Here are some scenes of the ending story. By the way, Japanese comics are read from right to left. On these scenes, Ren , the main guy is holding his first ever concert. ( He is a singing idol, while Ageha, the main girl, is an ordinary student he has met at the park while  walking his dog.) Meanwhile, Ageha is already at the airport, leaving for England with her parents. She could have stayed behind , but due to misunderstandings, Ren lets her go. But before that, he deliberately hurts her feelings and breaks up with her. Also, his first ever album is titled Ageha, with all the songs composed by him. His last song at the concert is the song Ageha, but he is unable to sing it, and leaves his own concert to rush to the airport to see Ageha. There,  he professes his undying love, T.T…… Ageha leaves , just the same , with a promise to come back in 2 years. On the last 2 panels, you can see a small box with an engagement ring in it. And also, Ren has become more famous, but his love never wavers. The end. 

 

* misty eyes*  * sniffs*  ” Tissue, please. ”  Well, that’s how a manga looks like, for those of you who don’t know what a manga is.

I got an email informing me that one reader ” LIKED” one post of mine.  I couldn’t remember that I even posted that… about a bargain Calvin Kline purse ? I blogged about that ? It was dated June , 2010, so I guess it was on Windows Live. All my posts there were transferred lock, stock and barrel to WordPress in October , 2010,  one year ago today.  I want to repost an excerpt of that one here, if I may. I feel nostalgic. Oh, and you know what, I ‘ve never used that purse, and I don’t know where it is. Maybe it’s in the attic.?

Exerpt :

{A four – hour work, no matter how short, was a welcome interruption from a truly , boring day. I got out of the house and interacted with fellow human beings, laughed heartily at my co-worker’s stupid jokes, and patiently dealt with rude customers. This was also the first time I enjoyed scooping ice cream, LOL.  After work, I lingered around, checked out the shoe store < Payless > nearby, ordered some ” fish and chips ” at this British restaurant, went into a video game store to ask how much I could get for my Persona 3 video game… $ 5.00….no, thank you, I’d rather give it away and earn some goodwill. Then, ooooh, a Thrift shop. I went in, checked out racks of old clothes < ha ha, I was just curious…. they could have come from some dead people’s wardrobe >, then , lo and behold, a Calvin Klein purse ! ! And only for a buck fifty ! ! Smile It looked unused, pristine, and you bet I bought it ! ! Got myself a true bargain and that, my friends,  made my day. Tongue out * happy dance * Red rose }

Oh, it’s Holloween  today !  I like this holiday. This is the day where I can get in touch with my inner zombie.  I managed to watch 2 full zombie movies, Day of the Living Dead, and Dawn of the Dead on SyFy. ( and we have the complete Resident Evil series . This series rocks ! LOL ) Do yuo know Brad Pitt will star in a zombie movie? Wow, an A-lister ! Hahaha !  * ponders*  Zombies used to walk so slow people could run around them and chop off their heads, but modern zombies can outrun living people nowadays. If there were  zombies in real time, what would you do? What’s your weapon of choice to kill zombies?  He he he… I know, stupid questions. ( Not to me, though. I actually thought about such things. But that’s me )

Okay. * takes a deep breath * So, I was rather harsh on men, as one annoyed guy friend pointed it out to me. I was generalizing, I admit, and I’d like to apologize for that. I  apologize only for generalizing, mind you. Other than that, I stand by what I said. But don’t hate me. I’m really a nice girl. q(^o^)p Muaaaah to all my readers then, including guys. Oh , especially those guys who have been  offended.  * grins sheepishly*  Oh, and I don’t hate men,  just the as*holes. I do like the bishies.  \(^___^)/ Well, check out this pic, ladies.

The image above is from the manga THE ONE, an ongoing series that I ‘ve been reading for 2 years.  Those two guys are twins ! As if one isn’t enough, lol ! These mangakas ( authors ) are so sly, drawing such pretty boys to draw ( pun intended ) lonely, homely girls  out of their holes, making them dream that someday, a knight in shining armor will sweep them off their feet ( and unrealistically looking like that, to boot), and together , they will ride into the sunset, to live happily ever after.

 ” Erm, girls, come over here…not to poop on your cake , dears, not to piss on your bonfires, dears,  not to rain on your parade, dears “….. *smacks each and everyone of them *…. IT’S  NOT GONNA HAPPEN ! ! WAKE UP! !

Actually, I’m talking to myself.

I have to smack myself for being such a manga fangirl. I guess I need to get a life or something. Hahaha ! Oh, by the way, do you know that  out of 3 books that are published in Japan, , 1 is a manga ? And  do you know that  books  frequently borrowed at US libraries are mangas? Otherwise, books in public libraries are just there, sitting in shelves , gathering dust, with no activity at all… Heck. What does THAT say about  today’s youth’s reading habits? So, okay, I’m guilty. But I read real books too. You’d be surprised if you’d see my collection of books.  ( You were surprised  to see my  collection of mangas, right? )See, I used to be a voracious reader. I even read the obituaries. But,  I don’t read much these days… I mean , real books…. I have Chemistry, Microbiology, Math and other college textbooks  to contend with.

Geez,  I almost forgot….. the title of this post is “My vehicle was stolen.”

On my previous blog, I wrote I was a bit depressed. You see, that night, the family van was stolen. I went to work that night and used the van . I got off at 10 PM, but before that, I got a call from a friend and he asked if I wanted to hang out with him after work. So, I said okay but only for a few minutes just to return something  as I had  work early the next day. So I drove to his house, parked , and just left my purse in the van . After 30 minutes or so, I left and darn, the van was gone. So my friend and I frantically drove around hoping to find the van abandoned somewhere. Fail ! But of course. We came  home, woke up dad at 3 AM, started calling credit card companies, the police, etc. My purse had everything in it… license, credit card, keys to the house and goodness knows what else is in  there ( good thing I got my still unpaid new iphone ),,, and that was a new purse too, the one I bought when Mom and I went shopping .( I wrote about that too, ( ^o^)# )…………………………….So, anyhow, I had a previous promise to drive 4 bratty middle schoolers to the ballpark  2 days after. ( Don’t ask .) The ballpark was at the downtown area.  Traffic condition at that place is the worst… one way, do not enter signs are all over. Since I wasn’t familiar with that place, I got lost, drove aimlessly for 40 minutes at 5 miles/per hour, then got pulled over by a cop, given a citation for not stopping at a Stop sign, and now, have to go to court on Nov.15. Citation is $220. WHAT ELSE CAN HAPPEN TO ME ON TOP OF THAT? Next day, I got a call from the bank. Apparently my credit card was used to buy gas 2x and stuff at 7-11, worth a total of $250. Then 2 days ago, we got a call from a cop. The van was found abandoned at a gas station and towed away. Towing fee …$250 which I volunteered to pay and dad accepted . T.T   The van was chop chopped., rendered useless. So now we have to buy another, a good used one coz we can’t afford to buy a new one. (We still  have that duplex on our beach property to build, right? I wrote about that too. ) I volunteered to hand over my lifetime savings of $2,000… good thing Dad didn’t accept. What a relief.  * sighs * Maybe I didn’t pray in my past life, huh.  Oh, and good thing my friend volunteered to become my chauffer. His car, of course… I just pay for the gas. I guess he feels guilty . After all, our vehicle was stolen at his place, AND, if he didn’t call me to come over, then THIS wouldn’t have happened.  >.<  Oh, but I do appreciate and am  really grateful for what he’s doing for me. My place of work is a good 35 minutes from our house, after all. And he’s not even a boy friend. He’s my  boy best friend. Uhm, well, maybe 3 years ago, he wished he was, but, we both realized it wouldn’t be a good thing. He was a Muslim… a  Muslim from Chekoslovakia. From Bosnia, to be exact….. a blond, blue -eyed Muslim. And I’m Catholic. ….. never the twain shall meet.  Right?   Oh, well.  They say if we lose something, another will always come to take its place. That’s the rule   of  the universe. Maybe I’ll win a lotto. I have to remember to buy a ticket.  I just know something good will come up. I can feel it in my bones.

Oh, and another thing……….. I just reread the previous log. That part where , out of the blue, I wrote about my sister’s BF’s new hair “do” ? That looked exteremly random, but actually, it wasn’t. I was talking about cheating men, and the first person that I thought of was my sis’ BF. Yep, he cheated on sis. But , that day, he came over sporting that new “do” , and that was what I wrote about. He he he… okay, that was really random.  (^o^)  Never mind.

*sighs*

Aaaargh, Bummer. School opens on the 29th…. * gets up to look at the calendar*    ! ! ! ! !  It’s this coming Monday ! ! !  Hah! Wish me luck, folks.  Back to the saltmines ! ! !
