I was in Manila in ’76 at Easter time & saw the passion march, I will never forget the countries faith

During the Holy Week , ( Good Friday ) , some person or persons practice self-flagellation, and have themselves nailed to the Cross, literally. Its jaw – dropping.

I assume you went to the island of Masbate to see flagellation and crucifixion. (._.”) They hold long processions all over the country during Good Friday , but it’s only in Masbate where they do this stuff. CNN showed a documentary of this years ago, and I was like, Ouch ! ! Seriously ? (o_o)

I guess what I saw was simulated, was still amazing, in Olongapo. That was 40 yrs ago & I am getting to that age when I can’t remember what I had for breakfast some days 😉 Thank-You for sharing the interesting history and culture. I hope ‘Santa’ was nice to you! Merry Christmas 🎅
