Hi, Renxkyoko Iglesias here.
One of the things in Philippine culture that I take pride in , is the fact that the country is one of the top 10 countries in the world most accepting of LGBTQ .
In fact, my parents were surprised ( when we immigrated to the US ) that America had issues with the LGBTQ community. In the Philippines, it is a non-issue.
Here’s something fun to watch…….. just 2 minutes , folks.
And,
Another 2 minutes of your time for an Uber Philippines commercial. Fun !
Oh, and check out my anime/manga/video games blogsite at https://2megaworthitwordpresscomblog.wordpress.com/
Bye ! and Peace !

not deadma! I’ve just read it .. Yes, it’s a good thing the country accepts the LGBT community, otherwise, its members would have been sorry.

Yes, it’s crazy and sad how far behind the US is on really easy stuff like this. How is it even an issue?
Posted by renxkyoko on June 26, 2017 at 4:20 pm
I know, right. Ms. Gay Philippines is shown on National TV. Two most popular TV shows over there are hosted by gay men, one of whom has become the wealthiest celebrity in the Philippines.

Reblogged this on It Is What It Is and commented:
I’m loving this … maybe, in another lifetime, I could live in the Philippines! … “one of the top 10 countries in the world most accepting of LGBTQ … ”

Very good video. I hate intolerance of any kind, but especially when based on narrow prejudice so I’m glad to hear that the Philippines are free of it. Always lovely to see a post from one of my favourite bloggers 🙂

Thank you. The Philippines is actually a very conservative country, but at the same time progressive in so many ways. Religion tolerance is another important trait of the Filipinos. And thank you very much for your unwavering support ! !

IKR? That is so much fun !

Interesting that being a religious country, it also is accepting as well. Apparently lot of men found me attractive, not that I had an idea, I just thought they were being friendly as I stumbled my way through my few words of Tagalog. Its nice to have a mix of people though makes life that bit more colourful.

Ha ha ha So, you got hit on ! It does seem there are so many gays in the Philippines. But then , gays are open in the Philippines, SteJ. My Filipino friend asked me why there are so many gays over there…. is it in the water ? lol Well, gays don’t have to hide in the Philippines. They are not judged, they are accepted.
Posted by Ste J on June 29, 2017 at 4:07 pm
I didn’t mind, I’m comfortable with it, it flattering to be found attractive to be honest!

That’s nice. You have a sunny disposition, Ste J .

Is that a TV show ? For foreign geniuses ? Ha ha Go back during the holiday season. That’s when you will experience the full force of Pinoy culture.

And don’t forget to treat your host to an eat all you can Christmas dinner at Viking’s . Our favorite eats when we were there. About $ 20 /person. Save up for that.

As the father of a son who is gay, I’m glad you wrote this post. I’m also happy for you, that you live in a country where there is acceptance. I also want to thank you sincerely, for continuing to visit my blog. I had been away for awhile with health issues. I’m back, but have lost most of my following – except you. Thanks again, and take care.

I’ve been here in the US since I was 6 years old. I’ve lost track of my heritage, it’s only this time that I’ve started to reconnect.
I hope you’re A- okay now. Take care and cheers ! !

I have a lesbian daughter. She is about to go to college. University of Wyoming (UW) is very close to us. She wanted to apply to the UW. But I told her she would not be very accepted there. Not like she would in Colorado. It varies that much state to state. Which I find so disheartening
Posted by renxkyoko on July 5, 2017 at 1:30 pm
I’m sorry to hear that. I hope she can find a uni where she can be accepted , and not judged for who she is. College life is hard enough as it is.

I feel like we were finally making progress in the U.S. I’m so happy my trainer’s girlfriend proposed to her this past weekend. As recent as 10 years ago, who would have thought that it would be possible? But, now we have this effing idiot in the White House, which makes racists and homophobes emboldened to spread their hatred. I just hope he’s out before too much more damage is done.

I know ! I don’t know anymore what to think.
