What’s in my purse ?

Hi there ! Renxkyoko Iglesias here.

What’s with the title ?  Who the heck cares what’s in my purse ?  Well, I do, because  what’s in my purse is very important to me. a)  There’s a set of car keys in there.  It would be troublesome if I lost that. ….. I don’t have a spare set.  b )  a credit card   c)  driver license  d)  6 packets of  condiments from restaurants ( lemon juice ,  ketchup,  sriracha hot chili sauce, mustard and honey sauce  fr. KFC ) d )  a $ 4 discount coupon for L’Oreal mascara  … guess I have to use that soon, it expires  on No. 10……. that’s $ 4, folks, so don’t judge  )  e ) pen  f)  paper  napkins  from a restaurant )  g)  a small digital camera  h) $ 10 and some coins ) panty liner  … too much information, I know  i)  a ROSARY.

There’s always a rosary in my purse , and a rosary hanging on my front view mirror. However,   I’ve only prayed the rosary 6 times in my life. …… on the plane going to and from the Philippines  in 2010 and 2014 and  to Europe and back to the US in 2012.  But I think I’m going to pray once more, before election day.  I’m as afraid to be in the plane as  Trump getting elected as President of the United States.

A few irrelevant photos because there should be pictures , right ?

Alright !  This is all for now, folks !  Thank you for reading !

  3. I’m both surprised and happy to read someone still carries a rosary. I do also carry one everyday in my pants pocket not because I was raised by Catholic parents and studied in Catholic schools all my life, but because it’s also my choice. Most of the guys I know who carry one come from the same grade school and high school I studied at. I too don’t pray the rosary everyday but somehow, I feel safer knowing I carry one all the time.

    • I’ve been carrying one since I was a kid. ( in my school bag ) as per Mom’ order, lol. Since I didn’t go to a Catholic school here in the US ( my siblings did, in the Philippines…. St. Scholastica’s College and Southridge School for Boys ), she had to teach me how to pray the Rosary.

I know this girl named Annie, she’ll probably get her picture taken in front of the Tower of Pisa one day–likely wearing shorts and sandals, too. 🙂

  6. I have so much stuff in my purse. I try to pare down what I carry, but I always have at least five lipsticks, glosses, etc. I guess it’s a beauty junkie thing. LOL!

  8. I usually wear cargo pants . . . and carry with me more than you do.

I used to have a rosary at home (gift from grandmother – never used it for anything) but many years ago started relying on carrying a gun as a more effective form of protection.

Unfortunately, even if I could carry it on a plane, a gun would be just as useful as a rosary at preventing a fatal malfunction.

    • If you look at the middle photo, there’s a huge duffel bag on the table. ( black and gold color, with nice design )

I have plane phobia. Aaaargh. I was on terrified mode for 13 hours.

  9. A great plan — the rosary. Please say one for me!

I love the picture of Pisa — that city was one of the happiest surprises of my travels. I thought it would be terribly hokey — after all there are photos in every pizza place. But it is amazing when you’re there — it really feels like the tower was going to fall right on me!

I have found myself praying a few times over the last few weeks. I have real anxiety over what could happen on Tuesday. Love these photos, btw. So much fun. 🙂

    • The hairbrush is in the locker at my workplace. I forgot to write down Chapstick and lip moisturizer…. they’re in a separate pocket. Anyway, it’s true… it’s actually a small purse…..oh wait, when I wrote this post, and checking out what’s in my purse, my sunglasses and prescription glasses aren’t there.

Nice pics. I nab condiment sachets whenever I get a chance, although more often than not I never get round to using the freebies I pinch.

    • Same here ! But guess what, we ran out of ketchup at home when we needed it for the dish we were cooking……. Okay, we happen to have dozen packets of ketchup in the pantry ( one bagful in a ziplock , haha ). the freebies saved the day. .

    • My purse was always full of airplane ” food stuff ‘ , like butter, jam, uneaten sandwiches and cakes. Philippine Airlines is very, very generous with food. Filipino passengers expect that )

  26. Did you ever read Tim O’Brien’s story “The Things They Carried”? It uses the stuff a platoon of soldiers in Vietnam carry to tell their story, and the story of the war. It’s an amazing piece of work.
