Graduation

Renxkyoko Iglesias here, hello !

00000003

So,  Graduation ( Commencement ) ceremony is done . May 20, 2016.  I  had a slight fever that eventful day,  and spent   2 hours  during the commencement trying to suppress terrible coughing.  It rained hard  right after the ceremony (  good for drought- stricken California ), so we weren’t able to take any photos.  Well, just one or two….. and a few lousy, blurry ones.

.My name is on 2 major Bachelor of Sciences courses…. B.S. Cell and Molecular Biology,  minor in Chemistry and B. S.  Forensics Biology.

.I have bangs, but I was sure it would look awful with that  hat.  That all- forehead  looked better,  I guess.  Right ?  ( Don’t answer that , ha ha )

We had a grad party at home the next day.

.My 2  besties since elementary.  The one on the left  is my #1 bestie. , a police officer, and she’s moving to Florida soon. * sad*

00000003

I hope I see her again .  I get misty eyed at the thought of her leaving California  and our more than a decade of friendship. It’s like saying goodbye to my childhood.

This is all for now. Thanks for reading, folks.

You look great, and Yay! Congratulations. And look at all that food. 🙂

    • Yay, me ! !

The main dishes : Caldereta, sweet-sour chicken, Chinese style fried chicken ( so yummy, more delicious than KFC ), lumpia ( meat eggroll ), pork adobo, pork barbecue ( skewered ), pancit bijon ( noodles ), and so many desserts .

I called my invitation Pig-out graduation party.

I’ve had Chinese style fried chicken: I miss cooking like that so much. Now, are you going to look for a job over the summer, or start on post graduate studies?

        • I have one potential, but it’s out of California. I want to stay in California ,if possible, right here in my city. I’ve on a headhunter’s list. They are fast, the trouble is, they’ll take at least 10 % off my wages. * sigh *

10% is okay if you get what you want close to where you want to go. You’ll spend a lot getting set up in another city. Trust me: I’ve done this.

    • Thak you, Raffy Pekson ! I think my course is focused more on DNA analysis, and whatever stuff will be given to Forensic Biologists for analysis. Mostly Lab work, I guess. I took Forensics because there were only just a few courses more to take and I’d be a Forensics Biologists, too. I think I had covered all the bases. Ha ha

  66. Well done on the graduation. A real milestone and I pleased to see you celebrated in style, even if the photographs did make me hungry. I saw a Blogger friend from the States for the first and probably only time as he and his wife were visiting London. It reminded me how special some of these blogging friendships can become and in that spirit I shall raise a glass to you 🙂

  69. Belated congrats my dear. Everyone around you must be so proud. (I am). How will you celebrate this wonderful event? (A bit of traveling?) Now, what is next? What are your plans?

    Reply

    • My plans ? That’s the $64 question. I’ve contacted headhunters. I don’t know where to start, really.

      Reply

      • Take a well-deserved breath/break then. You’ve accomplished something grand. Sit back and enjoy it. Travel a bit. Headhunters are good. Identify the companies you would like to work with would be even better. 🙂 But, we’re in June. Enjoy the sunshine a bit. 😉 (And have a lovely week-end “Renxkyoko” which is not your real name) (And thank you also for your frequent visits!) 😉
