Now, this is what I call random !

Hi ! Renxkyoko Iglesias here.

Guys, I think I’m already scraping the bottom of the barrel. I’ve been thinking of closing shop after my France tour post. But I’m sure I’m going to miss this, and this is what ‘s actually preventing me from saying goodbye to the blogging world. A blogging friend has suggested some topics I can tackle, like movie reviews. I don’t think so. I don’t have that much depth myself to go deeper. I take things with a grain of salt. Cynicism and Skepticism are my first and last names, respectively. I can’t do psychology. I can only do zombie. I can’t recognize that so called ” inner child” , but oddly enough, I notice the most innocuous and insipid stuff in a movie. Such as what , you ask. Such as stuff like this…. the girl is depressed, drinks and vomits, and is so drunk she goes to bed in her street clothes, then her cheating lover kisses her awake in the morning and they make out. And I’m like, hello ? Morning breath ? Damn …. And then, I’d squirm in my seat, not because that cheating bastard is making a fool of her again, but because of the imagined nasty breath in the morning. You can say my imagination is misplaced. It’s supposed to be a romantic scene, right ? I just have to ruin the atmosphere. But that’s how I roll. So yes, that’s exactly the stuff you’ll get to read in my moview review.
* ponders *
This reminds me of something ….. I wrote or said something that kept my friends laughing for weeks after I told them about it. Well, there was this guy who liked me. Then, one day, he asked me ” Ren, would you like to go out with me ? ” And right away, I asked, ” Where to ? ” At first, his face went blank , then he literally rolled on the floor laughing, and kept on laughing the whole time he was with me. he he Well, what did I know ? If he wanted me to be his girlfriend, why not tell it to me straight ? Needless to say, he didn’t ask me again. Bahaha ! Found me stupid, you think ? Don’t answer that. 6_6’

For some reason, this also reminds me of something that I wrote on one forum . There was one interesting thread about pre-marital sex. ” Do you approve of pre-marital sex? ” I thought using the word ” approve” made it a stupid question. I kept my mouth zipped, though. I didn’t want to be a party pooper. Interestingly enough, almost all who posted their comments, about 200 of them, ” approved ” of pre-marital sex. Then I finally jumped in and responded to the commenter who wrote, ” It’s okay as long as they use protection. ” No Glove, No Love ” . I wrote something like ” Excuse me, don’t you think wearing a glove is too much protection? Don’t you want to touch the one you love with your bare hands? ” Suffice it to say, my comment was the last one on the thread. It was so much later that I found out what a glove was. He he he.

Well, my point is, I tend to put my foot in my mouth. ” Oh, Ren, it can only happen to you. ” And it can happen here on Worpress while I’m gleefully blogging. Come to think of it, I don’t even know what the point is in talking about all this.

Happy Pointless Day !

Be nice, be cool, and PEACE !

Hey, slap me if I don’t post about my Paris tour next time. I just feel lazy posting photos now.

  4. I would take those movie reviews over nothing at all! It sounds interesting, actually. Do you view manga the same way? haha
Maybe you could do manga reviews instead, chapter by chapter or something. 😛

    Reply

    • Do I view manga the same way ? As a matter of fact, I do ! Just yesterday, someone told me, ” Girl, you just killed my dream.” @_@

Actually, I want to create another one, solely for manga, chapter by chapter. I can rant to my heart’s content.

Hey, I checked out your site. I don’t know your theme yet. Is that your first blog post ?

      • And in every post, you tell us what happened, we become interested, and then you brutally pick the story apart. Sounds like an interesting experience! haha

Thanks for visiting my new blog! I’m still working on my first post, actually. The one you saw was more like a note to my future self so that I can get a little context. 😛

        • I’ve been doing that on the forums, and they hate me for it. I’m not really tearing stories apart, ha ha, but most manga readers are ridiculously naive , so i post to hammer some sense into their heads. Not that I’m always right, but I know I’m logical. I can just roll my eyes. Ha ha ha Maybe I’ll do that one of these days. I’m going to burst their bubbles, and smash their rose colored sunglasses. LOL Kidding. I’m a nice girl.

  9. hello, Ren… oh, dear, blog about the old and the new, the trite and the foreign, the random and the specific – you do well in all of those, dang… ahaha, did you know that the post Late daw sina Rizal was one of the most radical posts i’ve done. and it’s thanks to you, naughty girl, i’ve halved the dozen readers i have, hahaha. but well, that’s blogging life, i guess… ^^

yeah, write about manga, foods and do movie reviews, why not? btw, i remember now, you also read over at Thomas Friday’s site. he’s the 17-yr old Brit i mentioned, the one who does movie reviews without flinching, ahaha. he does it well, don’t he?

true, do walking dead, 10 things i hate about you, independence day, earth’s doom movies and the likes… let’s hear about a science gal’s take on those things. they’d be fun to read. ke random o hindi, masaya kang magkwento, kapatid…

have a fun coming weekend, dear. 🙂 btw, do come over to my english site and read the 5km post about galunggong, hehe. happy summer…

    • Oh, I wanna read that Rizal post ! ! if it’s radical, I’m not surprised you’d lose some readers. It has happened to me… i lose at least 5 subscribers with every political post that I publish .. Something like, 705 subs, then after posting about politics, it becomes 700. ~_~

Oh, yeah I read his movie reviews…. the only problem I have with his reviews is that they’re too high brow, if you know what I mean…. an dhe reviews artsy french films, foreign films, old, old films, and discusses the merits of foreign directors. I’m not familiar with almost 95 % of movies that he reviews. It’s amazing that he’s only 17 years old. It would be more fun if he could make a review of some films like World war Zombie. ha ha ha

      Ate, I’m buried under 17 ,000 + of emails. TT.TT

      • ahaha, you’ve read it already, Ren… that’s the one where i discussed Arthur Rimbaud and Oscar Wilde. remember? oh, you’ve lots of subscribers, dear. way, way more than i have, ahaha.

yes, he’s high brow. mukhang educated in the classic mode, hehe. tapos, boarding school, Brit style, hala pa… but you’ve liked lots and lots of his posts, reviews, hehehe. oh, he’s different, having that point of view at 17? rare breed. btw, he did one on World War Zombie, i guess… 😉

haha, me too. around 18,000, i guess. i don’t take it seriously, my sanity is thinning as things are, hehe. warm regards, Ren… 🙂

Although I don’t understand most of what’ s in the post, i like his thoughts, so I click LIKE, ha ha ha.

At the moment , my puter is loading the emails. I wrote 17,000 plus , right… well, it’s loading additional 997 now. * cringe* Gotta start reading now. Oh, man.

How many times have I posted such a post and thought such a thing as quitting blogging? It reminds me of all those years I quit drinking to finally reach point where i said I am done saying I am quitting. Then came those long years of hard drinking; which was followed by six years of sobriety. Blogging is not too dissimilar from drinking.

So, start inviting families and friends for a one week stay in Boracay… Bill will be PhPesos 49,000, ha ha That’s only Php 3,500 for one week… that’s just $90. That’s very cheap!!!!!!

  23. No your are wrong “cynicism and skepticism are my first and last names” – these names are for very old people who annoyed over things they forgot to do – but your middle name is “youthful impatience” – and that isn’t bad at all – positive critical skepticism is the driving force for the young – that’s why they think it is their name – both boys and girls can believe this (I have been in doubt myself when I was young)… 🙂

Use it as a force, you are a very clever girl and can handle much more subjects than you believe – we all can, so take control of what you can or not can – public opinion controls nothing beyond what we letting it govern voluntary… 🙂

You actually have “opened up the bag” more times than you think, so we know You can more than you feel you show – you just need to find the topics – may force be with you… 🙂 😉

To be honest, I’ve thought of shutting shop. Some days I get on the computer to write but end up answering emails and then realise I need a break from the computer and guess what – I DIDN’T WRITE!!! And my whole gig is getting a novel written. Yes, I’ve thought of it but yes, I agree with you, you do get connected to people and want to know what happens next in their lives, and yes, I’d miss it.

Please don’t make any sudden moves!!

No, I won’t. It’s just that I’ve been very busy lately, and if you’ve read my Boracay post, I already gave a hint there. But as someone commented here, I need to relax and should not feel like I have any obligation to post if I really don’t have anything worthwhile in mind.

“Cynicism and Skepticism are my first and last names, respectively.” This applies to me too. I’m always being called ‘Jaded’ for being this way, but the world around me makes it that way.

I agree about morning breath! Eeeeeew! I mean seriously, I don’t care how much you like someone, that’s just disgusting!

You should definitely do reviews and start with the WalkingDead, in particular about how they all always looks so good despite the fact hey’re living in a zombie wasteland! Perfect teeth, nice hair and skin, some nicely toned men and women along with some obese people! How do they manage to stay obese, are they eating the zombies? If that is the case then the show should be called ‘The Waddling Obese’.

Don’t worry about making a fool of yourself, I’ve done it a few times and so do many others, But what you said was still funny! lol (I’m laughing with you here not at you)

All the best for the week ahead 🙂

Walking Dead ! bahaha ! I love the show, though. Blah ! that bow and arrow guy…. how many arrows does he have anyway? He doesn’t seem to run out of arrows, right? And they’re made of metal of some sort, not home-made wooden ones.

And remember that nice farm house they stayed in? they have electricity, running water, and what do you know, they use proper table linens at dinner!

      Reply

      • I know! I use mouth wash too and it doesn’t help. It seems like the more you clean the worse it is the next morning.

I love the show too, and yes, Darryl (bow and arrow guy), he has an unlimited supply it would seem. I’ve seen him take arrows out of the zombies when he killed them a few times, but he doesn’t always do it.

Apparently the farm house was run on a generator, wonder where they got the fule for that? And for the cars too!

As for the water they have ‘natural wells’ there, and they carried on drinking the water even though a zombie fell into one and split in two down there! They must’ve been boiling it I assume? lol
