Greetings from Renxkyoko Iglesias !
Oy ! About this blogging thing…. do you sometimes feel it’s become an obligation to post something, even if you think there’s really nothing you can write down that will interest readers of your blog? At this moment, my mind is blank. Well, I can talk about some current issues like the acquital of that p*ssy coward George Zimmerman, or this idiot guy Edward Snowden, the security secrets thief. But then, I tend to run my mouth off and offend readers,y’know, and I don’t want that. So, let me gather my thoughts for a sec……
[ … ]
Oh, yes ! ! My Mom and I just discussed about the possibility of going on another trip next summer. This time, we’ll go to Asia, specifically, Philippines, ( of course ), Japan, Thailand, Singapore , and South Korea. This depends on my employer though. Believe it or not, I have to sound them off one year early, like I did before we went to Europe. My cousin is coming with us , of course, and guess what, her boyfriend too. She’s 14 now, she was 13 when we went to Europe and she’ll be 15 when we go to Asia. There’s a 99 % probability her Bf is going with us. His mother is so happy with the invitation and already asking how much the trip would cost. I don’t know if she could come up with $ 1,466 by January , 2014 ( We buy the tickets for Manila, Philippines in January,) and additional $1,500 ( for Asian tour) by June , 2014. My cousin and her Bf are childhood friends and have been classmates since first grade. Sweet ! I don’t know if their relationship’s going to survive though. His mom likes my cousin very much. She always takes her to go shopping, go to the movies, and just last week, they went on a 3 day vacation in Monterey, California. Ah, young love ! I’m jealous.
Should I do a countdown again? Last year, I was like, yay, 7 months to go ! 4 months ! 1 month ! Then on the day we left for Europe, I posted something like, I’m leaving for San Francisco Airport in 1 hour. Now for our Asian tour, it’s , 11 months to go !! I guess I’ll do a countdown then.
Oh, newsflash ! The BF’s parents and grandparents will come up with the money. Totally approved ! It will be fun to have a 15 year old boy coming with us, and hear his comments and opinions. I don’t know if it’s relevant but BF is a white guy, so I’m sure he will kind of stand out among us brown folks. he he he And I don’t know if some of the readers have read my posts where I mentioned that we have a beach property in one of the top ten best beaches in the world, Boracay island , and that my aunt and parents ( on joint venture ) are going to build a beach /vacation house there soon. Well, construction has finally started and I’m sure it will be finished in 3 months. Also, we are going to rent it out on daily basis, so if my readers from the Philippines are interested, contact me here on WordPress for reservation. Ha ha ha ( Ha ! I’m into business mode again…..well, my parents are into rental business in the Philippines… apartments and condo units, oh, and a townhouse in Baguio, Mt. Province, which we’ll be renting out on a daily basis for vacationers ) Is this allowed by WordPress?
]
Filipinos do love to dance. Philippine inmates, 70% of whom are high risk criminals, are taught to dance as part of their rehabilitaion.
Filipinos are either crazy or have a good sense of humour.
Did I just say Filipinos are crazy? That sign was seen at a school’s gate.
Sorry I digress.
Below is a picture of the beach at Boracay Island. It was voted as the Best Beach in the World in 2012.
By the way, our beach property is right behind Shangrila Hotel… in fact, we share the same property line. We were afraid they might even have taken a few feet off our property. Big corporations are like that, right? And that Shangrila Hotel land used to be owned by my great grandmother. Her heirs sold off that big chunk of land to the hotel conglomerate. * shakes head * I don’t like it when big corporations come in. Somehow they destroy the pristine beauty of a place.
I just wrote that my mind was blank, but here I go again chatting and blabberring endlessly. I suddenly got excited about our next trip while writing this , so pardon me. Gaaaah ! I’m supposed to post about my Paris tour but I ‘ve chatted too much. Next post, okay ?
While I’m at it, I’d better make use of this post and advertise about our Baguio townhouse for Philippine readers of this post. The pictures were taken when we were there on vacation 2 years ago. Some of the units are still unfinished in the picture so the place doesn’t look much.
By the way, the place is a mountain resort.
That’s me sleeping…. you can see the veranda , the house is hanging for dear life on a cliff, but the view is spectacular from the veranda.
Below are the million-dollar views from the bedrooms. The townhouse has 3 floors, and the bedroom shown here is on the second floor. The pictures were taken using a disposable camera ! He he he I’ll take better photos next time.
That’s yours truly in Bagui 2 years ago.
The ubiquitous Starbucks. I couldn’t believe when I saw it there up in the mountains.
The lady in the picture with me is my cousin, a very pretty medical doctor. I masked her face though.
The photo of me is the ugliest so far, but I love it.Bahahaha ! I’m wearing a tribal costume here. This is a mountain resort in the Mountain Province. I doubt indegenous people of this province still wear this attire. This is for tourists.
LOL I jumped from France to the Philippines ! But I’m hyped. And to think I started so lame and dull !
Boracay Beach ! Woooh ! It’s on ! Construction has began ! ! * I see dollar signs* Anyway, there’s no one living in the house. It’s our relatives who use the house and bring friends, and that kinda annoys me. A week before we went there, the whole cast of one noontime TV show were there for a week, and forgot to close the windows…. it rained , so the living room got all wet, including the furniture. ( A TV star is the GF of the son of a family friend ). They paid for the damage with microwave oven and toaster. o.Oa Oh, well. Anyway, the townhouse is up for rent on a daily basis. We still have to figure out how much.
Okay, this is all for now. Our second day in Paris, France is next.
Good day to all. Be good, be nice, be cool. PEACE !
Gaaaah ! This post is so random.

Posted by renxkyoko on July 20, 2013 at 10:28 am
$ 1,466 is the exacr plane fare… $1,500 is for Asian travel. I hope we can lower that. further.
We’re definitely going to Boracay Island ! !
thanks, parth893, and cheers !

Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 11:49 am
I was forced to upgrade, and it messed up my emails. But I’ve turned off Skype, besides , my laptop doesn’t have a camera, and blah, blah, blah. I like it better with just simple Live Messenger.
Posted by davidconfidential on July 21, 2013 at 11:50 am
Lol yeah I don’t use the camera. You can use it just to message. I’m only asking because I wanna chat with you lol

Sheeash, I have to call it a day, David !

Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 12:30 pm
Which dancing? The inmates’? Insane means great, I agree. And if you’ve watched the video, even flight attendants dance… and the traffic guy ! Did you see that ?
Posted by davidconfidential on July 21, 2013 at 12:36 pm
What are you talking about ? There were no flight attendants or traffic guys lol. It was inside a prison. Lol are you trying to test me???!
Posted by davidconfidential on July 21, 2013 at 12:45 pm
Ohhhh you mean the first video. Yeah I saw that lol. Yeah and the orange flight attendant clothes are very appealing lol
Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 12:41 pm
Oh, but they were there ! That’s why I posted the dancing inmates. Check out the first video.
Okay, good day ! really need to sleep now. It’s 5:40 AM.
Posted by allenjambalaya on July 20, 2013 at 12:49 pm
It’s more fun in the Philippines. 🙂 I haven’t been yet to Boracay. The clear waters and white sand of the beach makes me want to fly there. If you want another good place to go, try El Nido in Palawan. 🙂
Posted by renxkyoko on July 20, 2013 at 9:15 pm
Hi, Kuya Allen ! Can I call you Kuya ? next time I’ll be calling you Father Allen, although I don’t know if you will blog if you’re a priest ! !

Not a priest, I’m an aspiring Brother. haha. That’s why call me kuya. By the way, I love your Igorot attire. You look really young and vibrant. 🙂

I don’t know text language… I hope Bf stands for best friend and not boy friend… 14 and all. This must be exciting… although summer is VERY hot for all these countries. Oh, that is where the water skiing comes in the scene! 😉
Posted by renxkyoko on July 20, 2013 at 9:19 pm
Uhm, Ms. Fae, it’s boy friend…. but it’s more of a best friend because we’ve known this boy since forst grade. They’ve been classmates up to now and they are already in high school. Sometimes, the Bf sleeps over in our house and they play video games the whole day, and his Mom picks him up, ha ha ha.
Posted by Titillating Thoughts on July 20, 2013 at 9:22 pm
I’m hoping to take a trip next summer across Europe. Never been to the Philippines either, but that beach looks mighty tempting.
Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 3:43 am
I wish I could tell you ” Go to the Philippines, ir’s fun there ! “, but I wouldn’t. Go to Europe first, Titillating Thoughts.
Also, you need to be with friends when you go to the Philippines. In Europe you can be alone, for some reason.

hoope u had a great time here. next time try to visit palawan. more lovely thann boracay 😉
Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 11:02 am
I’ve heard of El Nido, and yeah, they say it’s lovely…. in fact, there are so many great beaches in the Philippines. But El Nido is as famous as Boracay… how come it’s never considered as the best?
Posted by Ang Tambay na si MyR on July 22, 2013 at 4:18 am
boracay is so common for the people here. Yeah its definitely beautiful, one of the best but beaches in palawan like el nido and coron is indeed wonderful. Give it a shot 😉
Posted by renxkyoko on July 22, 2013 at 5:23 am
We’ll see. Although, I might have to hype up Boracay, Ang Tambay…. we have business to deal here…. it’s like telling people to buy the stuff at the rival store, ha ha.
Posted by Ang Tambay na si MyR on July 22, 2013 at 3:10 pm

@”This post is so random…” – really, no kiddin’?! 😉 Guess what: random&spontaneous posts are usually more interesting than the ones you’ve worked “hard” on… 🙂
My very best, take care and good luck in all your endeavours… Cheers! Mélanie
Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 8:59 pm
Lol ! I was supposed to chat for a bit as per my regular posting style, but ended up getting hyped and forgot this post was supposed to be about Paris ! I had to erase the title too , from Paris Part 26 to Boracay island. It morphed into something else. That’s why it was so random . ha ha
Posted by melanie on July 22, 2013 at 2:26 pm
hahaha back then! 🙂 I lived in Paris for 8 years, my 2 “old babies” were born there, but we’ve been happier in the Toulouse area… 🙂 Paris is fine as a tourist, but to live and to work in the Paris region may be stressing & tiring…

My very best & à bientôt! Cheers, Mélanie
Posted by renxkyoko on July 22, 2013 at 4:52 pm
With all those tourists gawking around, I can imagine it can be a bit tiring. But I guess Paris can’t help it. It’s not its fault for being beautiful, and thousands of people wanting to admire it.
Posted by Shakti Ghosal on July 21, 2013 at 10:33 am

Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 11:07 am
I know, right ? Well, the first paragraph was supposed to be my “chatting segment” before I go into the main topic…. but I unintentionally got so hyped up writing about Boracay I ended up writing more than 1000 words, which was just right for one post, ha ha.
Posted by ledrakenoir on July 21, 2013 at 12:07 pm
Very well captured photo and writing too… 🙂
Yeah “silly or no” “hahaha” – you absolutly worth reading, indeed… 😉

Posted by renxkyoko on July 22, 2013 at 5:30 am
Well, Gotta do what I gotta do… write an interesting post., I mean… that’s why I only post 2 or 3x a month. I don’t have much interesting material I can talk about. More often than not, I start with zero, then I take off from there. Then I end up jumping up and down with enthusiasm. LOL Weird.

We have some awesome beaches in So Cal but that beach looks amazing. I feel your pain about living on the side of a cliff. ;-0
Posted by renxkyoko on July 22, 2013 at 5:34 am
haven’t been to any beaches in So Cal, but I’ve seen pictures, and yeah , they are amazing. except, there’s really something about tropical island beaches, what with all those palm and coconut trees.
Posted by sanclementejedi on July 22, 2013 at 4:05 pm
So Cal beaches are all palms. Rare to find coconut as the winter soil gets to cold and wet 40’s brrrrr Also water not as warm unless its summer.
Posted by renxkyoko on July 22, 2013 at 5:01 pm
By the way, I don’t think there are that many palm trees in the Philippines,,, they’re all coconuts. Coconuts are the major “product” of the country.
It’s warm there 12 months of the year. people do go to Boracay during the holidays. And go swimming.
Posted by sanclementejedi on July 22, 2013 at 7:52 pm
Moving to So Cal from Boston it seems like it is warm all year round here too but not as warm as the Philippines.

Great post–and it sounds like you have lots of fun in store! Those waters are tropically delicious!! That sign pulls absolutely no punches–plus the onlookers expressions are priceless…
Also–what “bee” beat out Mickey deez…?
Posted by renxkyoko on July 21, 2013 at 10:51 pm
I know ! They’re priceless ! !
Oh, the bee is Jollibee’s mascot. Jollibee is also a hamburger fastfood, but is more popular than McDonald’s. And I know why. The beef patties are absolutely delicious, even without condiments whereas McDonald’s is pure beef and is rather tasteless. Also, Jollibee sells other foods . We had beef with mushroom gravy and rice, for only 37 pesos = US 80 cents. So cheap ! ! And they have delicious fried chicken ( even tastier than KFC’s ) with either rice or biscuits. McDonald’s was forced to offer other dishes , stuff with rice too, ha ha ha, almost exctly what Jollibee has in their menu, LOL.

Posted by renxkyoko on July 22, 2013 at 10:58 pm
I posted that one year ago, Jessica. Anyway, I reposted that because it tallies with the first video. have you watched it? In the first video, titled It;s More Fun in the Philippines, it shows a traffic cop dancing on the street, and flight attendants dancing while giving instructions, what do you call that? I mean, it just shows we dance at the drop of a hat, LOL.
Oh, I’m already excited. I started this post matter-of-factly, then I rolled from there, he he he.

Lovely beach. How come that beach is so empty? Is it a private beach?
Posted by renxkyoko on July 23, 2013 at 9:44 pm
there are parts of the islands that have not been touched by civilization. My mom used to go there when it was pristine and almost uninhabited, and the people living there were my great grandma’s tenants. She used to own the whole island ! ! not kidding !
Posted by efratadenny on July 24, 2013 at 8:12 am
Wow. How about now? There are some super rich people in Indonesia who has their own island. They build their own dock and villas in that private island. Your great grandma must be very very rich.
Posted by renxkyoko on July 24, 2013 at 8:26 am
No, I heard she wasn’t. They were ordinary folks… husband was a doctor, though and they were well respected. I don’t know how they acquired the island, but they acquired it in the 30’s when land was sooooooooo cheap ! And you know , tourism was unheard of, ha ha ha. Story was, buying an island was a stupid investment at thet time.

When I was in the Navy I spent some time at the Navel Station at Subic Bay. What a wonderful place that was to visit. I did not see the wonderful beach that you show. Perhaps some day I will have to visit a beach like that. Maybe rent your new house. LOL. Keep up the great blogging, I really enjoy visiting here.
Posted by renxkyoko on July 30, 2013 at 5:03 pm
The Boracay vacation house will have rooms for rent. go there, Lee devine ! We’re thinking of $30 a day per room ! ! You can afford it !

Posted by NosyAss.com on August 2, 2013 at 10:32 am
Oh sure. I was looking for an invitation from you duh. Not some automated invitation generated by coding software 😉 So much for romancing, kicking up sand and dancing the night away in Bagiou or Boracay, bahahah

Go to Boracay, Kavita ! And there are other places to visit, too. El Nido in Palawan , Philippines is now # 1 in the world. Boracay is #2, according to international travelogue.

Posted by renxkyoko on August 9, 2013 at 11:40 am
Around middle of June, 2014.
I think Palawan is in Mom’s itinerary, but I’m very sure Boracay is first. By that time, our beach house will be available.

I love your random posts! 😀 Hyped and fun! It makes me miss my younger days “day dreaming when I was single and doing whatever I want, LMAO!!!*
I still have to do a lot of catch-up-readings in WP, since it’s summer here and it’s the busiest time of the year for Greeks to go on vacation and enjoy the limited heat – so I am often off the net. I’ll be back soon. Though, It would be great to live in Baguio, I am so proud of that place, and my hubby would love to check it out, too. Hope you will manage to finish the Boracay property, we were there for 2 weeks in 2006 so it’s a memorable place. 🙂 Good luck to everything and let’s enjoy Summer! 😀
Posted by renxkyoko on September 25, 2013 at 5:17 pm
Hi, Nessy San ! !
we do both have the Boracay and bagiou properties for rent. We’re still figuring out how to go about renting them out.
I hope you’re okay in Greece . heard economy is bad… recovering? I hope so,
Posted by Nessy San on September 26, 2013 at 3:12 am
Nothing new about Greece’s economy here. It’s been like this for 4 years, but I think the media are exaggerating it. I mean, it’s always crisis in Philippines, Albania, Bulgaria but you don’t get to hear it abroad so much, 😉 Though me and hubby are doing something now so after a few years we will work abroad. We’re tired of 3rd world whateverness
. 😉

Taking her 15yo bf? How life has changed. I wasn’t supposed to talk to girls until I was 18. All those wasted years.

Oh, oh……
The boy is a childhood friend. They’ve been classmates since Grade one… he is also a neighbor. They’re like best friends, although he confessed just last year. His parents want him to travel too. LOL It’s really pure , alienheartbeat. In Europe, my cousin bought him a toy medieval sword !

The only part of the Philippines I’ve ever been to was Subic Bay. I wish we could have gone to that beach at Boracay Island!! The water us beautiful! Quite the opposite of Shit River in Olongapo! 🙂 I’m excited for you! I’m still catching up on my reading, so now you have less than 11 months to go!
