Moving on……

Renxkyoko Iglesias here, blogging.

Nothing much to say, but I have to fulfill my duty for this Post-a-Week  thing.

So, okay, an update on my sister’s love drama. On my previous blog, I said she and BF broke up. It was nasty and there were a lot of sobbing and crying, blah blah. But I’m glad my sister is recovering. Last weekend, she had a date, a Greek nerd, she said, and they went to a wine tasting event at Napa Valley. Good for her ! ! Ftw, sis ! !  Well, I’m not surprised she gets a date pretty fast. Sis is one gorgeous lady.  She went to an NBA game one time, and we were watching the game on TV at home , then lo and behold , sis’  face appeared on the screen, and I was like , Mom , Dad!!!! Ate ‘s on TV !!!!!! (  Ate… that’s  honorific title  for older sister , pronounced Ah-teh ) and yeah, it seemed the cameraman found my sister interesting coz the camera always focused on her during time-outs … then , during the  half – time  break, someone approached my sister and asked her if she wanted to join the half time game. She accepted and she was escorted on to the court, right in the middle of it,  interviewed by the announcer, and played a guessing game . She didn’t win, but she was on TV alright.  ( reminds me of when I was on stage with Jason Derulo at his concert.  I’m still thrilled at the memory. )

It’s strange though that sis’ ex still comes to the house. Yesterday, I heard her say to him, “It’s none of your damn business.”  Yes!!!!  Way to go , sis!!!  Well, today, he was here again. What ‘s  up with that  guy? He was talking about residual income, whatever that is,  and I heard sis say, “Even if we’re not together anymore, you need to take your meds.” And ex replied, ” we’re still together.” And sis said no, we’re not.  Ah, I’m eavesdropping, but it does feel like a sappy drama. ” Sis, seriously, don’t talk to that cheater anymore. He’s bad news!  Throw him out while you’re ahead ! *  And do you know what he did yesterday?  He came to the kitchen and got a can of soda!  Gah !! Ang kapal ng cara ! Sobra!!

* sigh* I know! I’m ranting !  But  I really hate cheating men.  To me, unfaithfulness would kill any love I had for a man. No mercy. No second chances.  His presence would only remind me of what he did. To me, that would be unbearable.

I don’t want to look like that for the rest of my life…… especially if there was sex involved.  No way. I don’t think I could live with that. Ah-ah. * Go away.  …………. but, that’s just me.

Moving on…..

I read authors of Japanese comics/ graphic novels ( called mangas…. and authors are called mangakas) are accepting suggestions for storylines.  I’m making one.  It will be about love and revenge and it’s somewhat  dark, but  it will still belong to the romance/josei / school life/slice of life category,   one with typical  cliche, happy ending.  Majority of romance mangas are shoujo , meaning teen-age girls. Josei is for slightly older readers.  Some shoujos are just crazy. The main characters are like middle schoolers and high schoolers, basically  14 to 16 year old girls. Mine has an 18 year old college student main heroine, and unlike typical shojos, my main character will not be whiny, long- suffering cry babies. She is strong and ambitious, but at the same time, pure of heart , in deference to the genre.  I ‘ll discuss this on my next blog.

This is all for now. PEACE!

Don’t you think if he is trying to come back then probably he has realized that he had made a mistake and probably he would not repeat it again… What do you think about it?

        • Someone told me once a cheater, always a cheater. If she takes him back, that’s her own look-out. I just think she deserves someone better. But who am I to talk about such things. I don’t know anything. I have my own ideals, but I know they are unrealistic. I live in a fantasy world of wine and roses, and happily ever after.

Hmmm… What I think is when a person realize that yeah he had done something wrong and wanted to correct it, then he/she will try to give more than 100% just to make sure things should not go like before. Anyways thanks my perception. Again as you said “who am I to talk about such things? I don’t know anything.” Same applies to me and all the readers on this blog as you are close to you sister not me or anyone else here, so you know much about her:).
Well it’s good to live in fantasy world but fantasy world is just an imaginary world which will never come true, the more you dream and live in fantasy world the more you will feel pain when things will not go that way. What I suggest it live in this world, it is just a suggestion from my end and it is up to you to take it or not:).

            • yeah, I guess. Initially, he’ll give 100% of himself, but for me, a big chunk of trust is gone. Distrust will always be there, and I think that’s a recipe for disaster. But that’s just me. She’s different, and , whatever makes her happy.

Hahaha My fantasy world is my gauge.

  2. A couple things come to mind while reading this post.

    1. Show us this sister of yours 🙂 I’ve been seeing a very pretty lady over the last month (the one I was supposed to go to San Fran with)and it is difficult for me to trust, it really is and sometimes I just don’t know if I can do it.

    2. You should watch the movie “I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE” if you want to see some true revenge.. It’s pretty violent, so beware.

  3. I feel for your sister…I had a wife cheat on me and I was devistated. She should just kick that bum to the street.
Your idea for manga is great…I am a dabbler in the anime scene, wish I had more time for it, but I love your idea…

    • I will make it a little bit different from typical shoujo manga. Of course mangas have different genres…supernatural, horror, fantasy, shounen ( for young boys) smut, lol, etc. Mine will be romance , but geared towards slightly older girls, if we can call 18 years old , old. Typical romance mangas target teeners and tweeners, which i find a litttle off-putting. Too young for serious love, in my honest opinion.

Lee Devine: I am sorry to hear that but now a day cheating is common among all ages. There is hardly anyone who believes in true love. No matter how much you love what matters is if he/she giving you back as much as you deserve?? Or are you giving as much as she deserve??
Cheating normally happens when he/she finds someone better not in respect of look as it is hardly matters when you are in love but in respect of care and love.
What I can suggest is give more than 100% and makes your lover feel that she is really special for you and no one can ever love her as much as you love. Treat you girl as princess.

  10. Committments, right?

    • Committment, yes, and faithfullness. The second is very important to me. One can commit, but at the same time, play around. Problem is, even a ring on one’s finger cannot guarantee fidelity.

No mercy, no second chances – I like that. You are a woman with clear boundaries of self-respect. Awesome.
