Click it ! I love this song by Sophie B. Hawkins. A blind girl helped her compose this song. It’s…. it’s beautiful. So, c’mon click it, and listen.
I liked rock, hard rock, just plain old rock. When I was in high school, that was the only kind of music I listened to, but when I hit 20, I think I mellowed. Maybe it’s because rock has changed considerably. Where have all the old rockers gone, anyway ? My radio station is tuned in to just two , Classic Rock and Soft/Mix Rock that plays old and current songs. And I said before I hated ” country”, but what the heck, most of the songs that I really like nowadays are country ! Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp, Before He cheats by Carrie Underwood…………..(e_e)”……….. Taylor Swift !…. ( Keanu Reeves, save me ! )…. (^__^)””…….So, okay, I posted one of Kate Perry’s video, but, seriously, if someone wants to torture me, force me to listen to her 24/7.
Ah, but this one , I like. Click it. It’s from the movie School of Rock, starring Jack Black. Love this movie, too.
These old rockers are so cool. It’s a pity they’re all gone. What we have now are * coughs* Justin Bieber, the Jonas ( are they still alive ? ), and these rappers. I say, if there’s no melody, it’s not music, so rappers, quit it and go away. Just go away. If you guys can’t make good music, don’t inflict your kind of music on us. One composer said rap killed the good composers, but , hey, he said, if rap could bring in money to the brothers, go ahead, rap to your hearts’ content. ( His words, not mine ).
I mean, seriously, they don’t make good music like they used to, anymore. Rappers now put in some good old music to their c*rap……. or they feature a good singer, like Eminem with Rhianna, or haven’t you noticed it ? They want to have their cake, and eat it too. < grins > Ah, but it’s allright, I love the way you lie. ………….. Still, I’m sure Beethoven’s gonna turn in his grave. Speaking of which, I was a member of a string quartet, and we played this piece really well. It’s Canon by Pachelbell. We also played this at my friend’s wedding. It’s a pity I don’t have a video of when we played this. Canon is so beautiful. I;m also saddened that the state took out funding for orchestras in middle school and high school. Why they’d do that is beyond comprehension.
Ah, I just think too much, or I’m just a whiner. < laughs > I guess both. Whining doesn’t make me a happy person. I should just go with the flow , and be a contented cow, peacefully eating grass in the meadows. . I mean, whatever floats their boats, right ? Each to his/her own opinion. So, don’t hate me. (e__e) * sweats *
* fans self *
This is all for now. ‘Til my next whining, then. Bye and listen to good music. It’s good for your soul.

‘Where have all the old rockers gone?’
I find myself thinking that alot of the time,and seeing as I’m still in highschool – I’m still pretty much a rock type of guy.
Today, I found myself having a discussion with one of my (frankly, quite old) teachers about those ‘old rockers’ like The Who, Led Zeppellin, Jeff Beck, Hendrix and so on. He told me he was lucky to have grown up with all those greats as a youth. He finished with: ‘the 60’s and 70’s, the best music’.
But I’d also like to think that we have ‘grown up’ and been inspired by those musicians.
Though popular music doesn’t really mean good music these days (…Justin Bieber), great rock bands are still out there. Just take a listen to bands like Parlour Mob, and see if they don’t remind you of those ‘old rockers’!

Oh. my. gosh. THANK YOU ! ! I’ve heard of them, but I thought they were an old band ! ! ! They’re great ! ! I’m going to post their songs here.
The Brits did contribute a lot to the genre. Led Zep, the Who….. do you consider Queen ‘s songs hard rock? They’re like operatic rock, aren’t they, like Bohemian Rhapsody. That one is so cool.
I do listen to new music once in a while, but, seriously , it makes me cry, hahaha.
