My Favorite Things

Regarding my favorite things ( movies, books, music )…………  If I can watch a movie two, three, a million times, it’s obviously my favorite thing.  For example, Sleepless in Seattle. I remember the first time I watched this movie. I was, maybe , 4 or 5 years old ? But I understood the story and I got misty eyed at the end of the film. Nope, I don’t really remember this happening,Wink but my mom loves to tell this as an anecdote. She saw me intently watching the movie ( and this surprised her because of my low attention syndrome at that age… I couldn’t even finish a walt Disney movie ) from start to finish, and saw my eyes tearing up and my hands brushing the tears. I was 4 or 5, for crying out loud. What did I know about adult love ? And to this day, I still love to watch this movie. So, okay, this is about Meg Ryan’s character who fell in love with a radio caller, played by Tom Hanks……. she researched about him on the Internet, liked what she saw, and set out to find him in his home city, Seattle, to meet with him and eventually confess.. But before she could meet him, she saw whom  she thought was his girlfriend. And she freaked out. She called her best friend and swore to stop this insane episode in her life, and went back home to Baltimore, tail between her legs.Crying So she settled back to her real life…. but , she really couldn’t forget him.  Sad…. well , okay, next,  happy ending. And that was the first time the two main characters actually met, one minute before the ending…..  Pure , pure romance. Awww ! Red roseRed roseRed rose < why does this story sound familiar ? Surprised.. well, at least the first part…. Thinking   i guess I watched another movie with a similar plot  Tongue out >

Re Independence Day….. this is disaster and alien invasion theme combined… what a treat for me. I watched this in theater, then VHS, then dvd, and now we have a blu-ray in our collection. The plot is so impossibly unrealistic, but I love it, just the same.

Re 28 days Later ( or is it After ? ) …… this is quality zombie movie. And, this is actually the first time I’ve seen a zombie who could outrun a human. This is what

makes the movie so scary and thrilling. And it’s like a disaster movie , too. The whole city of London was overrun by somewhat intelligent zombies and the few stranglers left behind had to live off  stuff from abandoned stores.   Watch this British movie if you haven’t yet. Hot

I’ve never seen Sleepless in Seattle. But it sounds pretty cute and now I wanna watch it. xDI love Independence Day. I loved that movie sooo much as a kid. xD28 Days Later is a pretty awesome movie too. It made me jump so much. And that is pretty rare for me nowadays since it seems movies aren’t that scary anymore. 😦
